Privacy Policy
Thornlight: Neon Snake · Calnexia Studio · Last updated 18 August 2026
Short version: Thornlight collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no servers of ours for the game to talk to. Everything the game remembers — your best score and your coins — is stored on your own device and never leaves it.
Who this policy is from
Thornlight: Neon Snake (“the game”) is published by Calnexia Studio, a sole
proprietorship registered in France. The game is distributed on Google Play and the Apple App Store
under the identifier com.calnexia.thornlight.
Data we collect
None. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share or store any personal data. Specifically, the game does not gather your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics of any kind.
The game contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no social network integration.
What is stored on your device
So that the game can pick up where you left off, a small amount of information is saved locally on your phone or tablet:
- your highest score;
- your coin balance and any one-use upgrades you have bought but not yet used;
- your control preference (swipe or tap) and whether sound is muted;
- on Android, a short-lived record of purchase tokens that have already been credited, which exists solely to prevent the same purchase being credited to you twice.
This information stays in the app's own storage on your device. It is not readable by us or by anyone else, and it is deleted when you uninstall the game.
Purchases
Thornlight offers optional in-app purchases of coin packs. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play Billing on Android and by Apple's StoreKit on iOS. We never see, receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other financial information. The game is told only whether a purchase succeeded, so that it can add the coins.
Google and Apple process that transaction under their own privacy policies:
Network access
The game itself makes no network requests. It is a single self-contained file, including its fonts and sounds, and it runs entirely offline. The Android build declares the internet permission for one reason only: the Google Play Billing library needs it in order to reach the Play Store when you open the shop or make a purchase.
Children
Thornlight is not directed at children under 13, and its target age rating on both stores is set to 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and comparable laws you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection with respect to your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete. If you want the game's local data gone, uninstalling the game removes it.
You are of course still free to contact us with a request, and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever starts collecting anything — it has no such plans — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top will change. Material changes will also be noted in the release notes on the store listing.
